Not quite salutatorian status, but pretty close!

Dietitian Appt. #2 weigh in: 271.5 (-1 from last weigh in there) :)

Well I didn't live up to my "daily blog" because I decided to visit Brazil, Indiana... the land with no technology.  My parents don't even have cable, let alone internet.

Aside from the fact that they are living in the stone ages, it was a very good visit.  I attended my soon to be niece's bridal shower, hung out with the siblings, cleaned up the parents' yard and had Sunday dinner with the family.

Today was "the" day for me.  It was my follow up visit with the dietitian to determine if I could follow the right kind of diet in order to move forward with a surgery date.  I have to say, even though I know I have been working very hard to accomplish all my goals, I was very nervous.   We (Deb and I) were called back and the dietitian began asking me how the last two weeks were.  I didn't lie... I said "They were stressful."  Deb was super supportive and spoke up to say that I had been trying very hard and she thought I had done wonderfully.   The dietitian looked at my food journals and reassured me that I had done great and that she was pleased with my efforts. She was pleasantly surprised that I had accomplished all of my SIX goals!

I have to say, to some this may seem very petty and silly.. but for me, this was major.   I have scored very well on many tests, received honors and awards and scholarships... but this is the grade I am most proud of.  She said "I am going to pass you today!"  It was so exciting to hear! To me, this meant that they now fully supported me and believed I was ready to make the necessary lifestyle changes.   I had passed my first step to achieving my goal.

As for the weigh in... I did weigh in heavier than I do at home, but for some reason..they don't let me weigh in naked there... :(  I also weighed in at 1:00pm today. The other days, I weighed in at 8:00am.  Regardless, I am still losing and still feeling very good about my progress.

I went to aquacise this morning with Kendra.  It is so wonderful to have a friend who supports you.  Kendra has been amazing at motivating me! Our shenanigans make the hours go by so quickly.  The ladies (and a couple guys) have really embraced us there and have been very sweet.

Everyday has been an adventure since I made this decision and I wake up excited for what I can do that day to help accomplish this goal.  I have to say, I am feeling a lot like my old self again.
